10-11 Month 1, Day One catch up

Page history last edited by Admin 9 years, 7 months ago

If you were unable to attend our first day of MILI training, you need to do all of these things to catch up.

1.  Watch this video showing what the MILI Wiki is and how to access it.  (Note: the background color of the MILI Wiki changed after this video was made, but all of the same content is there.)

2.  Watch this video showing what the MILI Ning is.

3.  Use these step-by-step Ning instructions to sign up for a MILI Ning account.  Once you sign up we have to approve you as a member, which we will do as soon as we see you sign up, but just know that if you sign up at night you may not be approved until we see it the next day.

4.  Follow the rest of the step-by-step Ning instructions to post a blog post, learn how to respond to and create forum questions, and join the 2010-2011 MPS Group.  Again, we have to approve you as a member of the group, so depending upon when you sign up we may not see it until later.

5.  Go to Month 1 in the MILI Wiki and view the What is MILI presentation (use the arrows to advance the slides).  This presentation was given to MILI participants on the first day, and since you were unable to attend we need you to view the slideshow and write a blog post about it in the MILI Ning.  Write a blog post telling us what you learned or what you thought about while viewing the slideshow.  If you don't remember how to write a blog post, view the step-by-step Ning instructions again.

6.  Go to Month 1 in the MILI Wiki and view the Nuts & Bolts & PLNs presentation (use the arrows to advance the slides).

7.  If you have not yet taken the MILI Tech Specs Questionnaire, do so now.  There are no right or wrong answers.  This will help us see where you are in terms of technology and computer use.  Based upon your answers on this questionnaire you will get an email with videos you need to watch before our August meeting.

If you have any questions, contact LeAnn.
